荼吉尼天は人間の心臓を食う夜叉として神通自在の通力を有し、六ヶ月前に人間の死を知るという。日本で民間信仰される荼吉尼や稲荷は管狐（くだきつね）を信仰することで教義にない。荼吉尼は鬼の総称で大黒天の眷属。荼吉尼と稲荷を同一と説く場合もある。稲荷大明神の本地は如意輪観音で、女形で稲束を担う。狐には修行があり、修行期間によって、野狐、管狐、飯綱狐、天狐、銀狐、金狐があるとされる。Inari Daimyojin [Dakini Ten]Inari Daimyojin is a yasha who eats hearts of human beings. He has a divine power to know the people's death six months before in advance. Dakini or Inari who people believe in Japan are not written in the doctrines, because it means to believe in Kudagitsune(fox). Dakini is the generic name for evils and an attendant to Daikoku Ten. Some explain that Dabini and Inari are the same. The main image of Inari Daimyojin(Dakini Ten) is Nyoirin Kannon. He has a form of female carrying a sheaf of rice plants.
