There are some complex elements in the aromatics, but that does not follow through on the palate. Drink it over the next 7-8 years as it does not appear to possess the substance or concentration to last. Wine Spectator Score: 89 Nice cocoa and coffee aromas lead the way for roasted vanilla bean, dark plum and black cherry fruit notes. This is a touch firm, but racy and fleshy enough through the finish, where an old-school lead pencil note lingers nicely. Drink now through 2016. ?JM
